Fairfield police located the boy asleep under a bush and returned him to the family home in the 2200 block of Fieldstone Court.

Sharon Henry, chief deputy district attorney for Solano County, said there is a "good chance" Rogers would also face "additional charges".

A man pleaded not guilty Monday to charges of child abuse and torture after he was arrested Friday following an investigation that began in late March, Solano County prosecutors and Fairfield police said.

Ten children, who range in age from 4 months to 12 years old, were removed from the home and eventually placed with various family members, Hurlbut said.

At that point, the 10 children were taken into protective custody by Solano County Child Welfare Services, and relatives took custody of them.

David and Louise Turpin previously pleaded not guilty to torture, child abuse and other charges in a case that has drawn worldwide attention since the couple's 17-year-old daughter escaped the family's Perris, California, home in January. She and 29-year-old Jonathan Allen, live in the city of Fairfield, just north of San Francisco.

Ina Rogers, the children's mother, was arrested and booked into Solano County Jail on suspicion of child neglect. They were handed over to social services, and parents will be judged.

She described herself as an "amazing mother" and her husband, Allen, as an "amazing person".

30-year-old Ina Rogers called the police in March after she discovered that her 12-year-old son was missing. "And so I've had many people question my right to parent, and I just feel like this whole situation was exploded", Rogers said, according to ABC News. None of the children required medical care.

The older of the children recounted incidents to the authorities dating back to 2014 which resulted in puncture wounds, bruises and injuries usually suffered when hit with a BB or airsoft gun.

Hurblut said he believed the children had been home-schooled, but couldn't say if authorities had been contacted in the past about their living conditions.

Rogers informed reporters she's shocked police had leveled essentially the most severe accusations in opposition to her husband, as he was not the disciplinarian of the household. Larry Magnaye says he had no idea 10 kids lived across the street - he says he never saw them.

On the day the youngsters have been eliminated, the home was messy as a result of she had simply torn it aside in search of her lacking son, who was offended as a result of that they had taken away his pill laptop, Rogers stated.

Child protection officials made one prior visit to the home several years ago, Rogers said. Rogers said she works the graveyard shift as an EKG technician at a heart monitoring company and her husband is a tattoo artist.

Despite everyone pointing fingers at Allen, Rogers told the authorities that her husband never abused his sons and daughters.

"We're a Christian family and Jonathan has not been raised that way", she said. "But I don't know how you can keep it quiet when you have 10 kids".
