Domino's says selected towns will receive funds to help fix roads.

As part of the company's Paving for Pizza initiative, Domino's is helping cities tackle the plethora of potholes that remain after the snow and ice from last winter, so a big bump doesn't send a pizza flying on its way home. "We can't stand by and let your cheese slide to one side, your toppings get un-topped, or your boxes get flipped".

Beyond the damage poorly maintained roads can cause to its pies, Domino's clearly has branding in mind - it's adding the company's logo and tagline, "Oh yes we did", to every filled pothole.

Yes, the chain eatery is adding asphalt to its sauce-and-cheese operation, and hopes to fix roads across the entire country, one town at a time.

"Paving for Pizza" is determined to help cities across the country repave potholes.

Russell Weiner, president of Domino's United States of America, weighed in in a Monday news release: "Have you ever hit a pothole and instantly cringed?" In the old days, you didn't have to order pizza to get potholes fixed.

Officials in the cities Domino's worked with so far said they were happy to get the help, Domino's website said.

But there's actually more to say about the entire campaign on a deeper level.

"This unique, innovative partnership allowed the town of Bartonville to accomplish more potholes repairs", said Bill Scherer, Mayor of the town of Bartonville, Texas.

"While it's not something we are actively looking at the moment, at Domino's we never say never", says Scott Bush, general manager of Domino's New Zealand.
