On Sunday, President Donald Trump advocated for immigrants who illegally enter the United States to be sent "back from where they came" without going through deportation proceedings.

"We can not allow all of these people to invade our Country", Trump tweeted while on the way to his golf course in Virginia.

President Trump tweeted on Sunday that the US immigration system is "laughed at all over the world" and is "very unfair" to individuals using legal avenues to gain entry.

Trump's tough demand to end that legal process would face stiff opposition in Congress, which for years has been stalemated on changes to US immigration policies and unable to enact new migration laws.

In his weekly address, he claimed there was "a crisis of illegal immigration on our southern border" and "the only solution that will work is being able to detain, prosecute and promptly remove anyone who illegally crosses the border".

Last week, Trump reversed a policy of separating families entering the USA illegally at the border with Mexico.

The compromise bill would earmark $23 billion for construction of a border wall, a priority for Trump, and make steep cuts to legal immigration programs, a potential poison pill for Democrats. "Strong Borders, No Crime!" he added. Leonard Lance, R-7th Dist., and Brendan Boyle, D-Pa., to propose legislation requiring the administration to reunite the families.

"We have to get this done or we'll be seeing the scene play out over and over again", House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Michael McCaul, R-Texas, said on "Fox News Sunday". He has issued a steady drumbeat of criticism of the immigration system and Democrats in Congress, while using increasingly harsh terms such as "invasion" and "infestation" to describe illegal immigration.

Sen. Jeff Flake warned that he and a "number of senators", are prepared to block President Donald Trump's judicial nominees if there is no action in the Senate on tariffs and other key issues.

Not only has President Donald Trump consolidated his hold of the Republican Party, but he has also "absolutely" redefined it, and you can not challenge him and expect to be re-elected, Sen.

"What President Trump has suggested here is both illegal and unconstitutional". While 58% of all adults said they disapproved of Mr. Trump's handling of the policy, 81% of Republicans said they approved.

"We are keeping families together, and this will solve that problem", he said after signing the order in the Oval Office.

White House representatives did not immediately respond to HuffPost's requests for clarification on Trump's tweets and who precisely he meant in referring to "these people".
