Till now, Race 3 has grossed Rs 138.41 crore (nett Rs 106.47 crore) and Rs 55 crore in the worldwide markets. Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Shahid Kapoor's Padmaavat maintains the top spot with Rs 114 crore.

Race 3 has received mixed reviews from critics. In the third week since release, Parmanu collected a total of Rs 60.05 crore. The film will now face the wrath of weekdays but it seems Salman Khan's superstardom will not let the film slow down in the box office race.

In fact, to put his star power in perspective one must note that apart from Race 3, three of Salman Khan's movies - Sultan, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Tiger Zinda Hai - raked in more than Rs 100 crore in only three days.

As far as Salman Khan movies go, Race 3's first three days' collection surpassed even Sultan and Bajrangi Bhaijaan's.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the Race 3 box office figures: "And #Race3 scores a CENTURY". Friday 29.17 crore, Saturday 38.14 crore, Sunday 39.16 crore. The undiminished track record with films like Wanted (Rs 60.24 crore), Dabangg (Rs 138.88 crore), Bodyguard (Rs 148.86 crore), Ek Tha Tiger (Rs 198.78 crore), Kick (Rs 231.85 crore), Bajrangi Bhaijaan (Rs 320.34 crore) and Sultan (Rs 30.45 crore) had suffered a dent a year ago with director Kabir Khan's Tubelight (Rs 119.26 crore). Also, Race 3 will not have any major competition until Sanju hits theatres on June 29. While Padmaavat had an opening collection of Rs 19 crore (excluding previews), Baaghi 2 earned Rs 25.10 crore on day one. Race 3 is a distant second followed by his other hits.

Despite the brickbats, Salman is laughing his way to the box office with Race 3. With the third instalment, Salman has replaced Saif Ali Khan, who played the lead in first two films.

To be sure, the action thriller also featuring Anil Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Bobby Deol, is riding entirely on Khan's shoulders.
