  • First photos from 'Wonder Woman 1984' confirm that Chris Pine is returning as Steve Trevor

In the second picture, we see Diana staring at a wall of television screens, again retaining the '80s aesthetic and possibly alluding to George Orwell's novel, 1984. But before that, there's an official title: Wonder Woman 1984.

"Wonder Woman 1984", which arrives in theaters November 1, 2019, is now in production and is filming right here in Washington.

One of the defining moments of the 2017 hit "Wonder Woman" was the death of Steve Trevor (Chris Pine), when he sacrificed himself aboard an exploding airplane to save countless lives.

Set videos and some pictures that popped up online suggests that the Wonder Woman 2 actress is introducing Steve to the new world. Latter used it to have Brett Ratner, who is accused of sexual harassment in the wake of Me Too movement in Hollywood, removed as producer from the movie.

When contemplating who she'd like to face off against in a future DC movie, Gadot said that was a character she wanted to go up against.

Wonder Woman 1984 First Look: Steve Trevor Is Alive?!

Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins shared a first look at the sequel today, also revealing its title.

Wonder Woman was a massive success at the box-office, drawing in $822 million at the worldwide box-office, which is a pretty decent chunk of cash - especially considering it was the first major female-led superhero film. It should be noted the Wonder Woman TV series from the '70s found a way to use Lyle Waggoner as both Steve Trevor Sr. and Jr. over the course of the show. Let us know down in the comments.

Even if Trevor was in his early 20s in the first film, he would be in his 80s in the sequel.

The following contains a spoiler for Wonder Woman if you haven't seen it yet. They are joined by Kristen Wiig (as Cheetah), and Pedro Pascal in an unspecified role.

"There's so many good villains in the DC universe, but I would love to fight Cheetah", Gadot told the Sun.
