"But it is too bad what is going on".

Asked Tuesday whether May should be replaced as prime minister, Trump said it was "up to the people, not up to me". "He s been very, very nice to me, very supportive".

The EU negotiator refused to comment on the political crisis in London following the resignations of Davis, replaced by Brexit supporter Dominic Raab, and of foreign secretary Boris Johnson, replaced by health minister Jeremy Hunt.

Trump came down firmly on the side of the Brexiteers.

I know they have had a lot of resignations.

"I get along with her very well, I have a very good relationship", he said.

The PM's pledge came after Mr Trump said the United Kingdom was in "turmoil", that meeting Vladimir Putin would be the "easiest" part of his European trip and that he wanted to meet his "friend" Boris Johnson. Gauke asked. "The challenge is (that it is) all very well for people to say "I wouldn't do this". The tousle-headed blond Johnson is one of Britain's best-known politicians, and one of the most prominent advocates for Brexit.

Bradley said the Chequers proposals would leave Britain tied to European Union trade regulations.

May insisted earlier Thursday that her plan was exactly what Britons had voted for in the 2016 referendum.

Another man, who did not wish to give his name, said: "It was very complimentary to England and to the allies that we have, very positive".

Trump's undiplomatic attack on May, his host, will likely raise the temperature around an already controversial visit.

May has hung on to power longer than many expected after she lost her majority in a June 2017 snap election that she had called in hopes of strengthening her hand in Brexit talks.

But his enthusiasm faded over the a year ago as the May government had numerous Brexit ideas slapped down by European officials and subsequently watered down its once-sweeping goals for a "hard" break from the E.U.

He raised concerns, however around the UK's position on access to parts of the single market which has been ruled as red line for EU's Brexit taskforce. Should a struggle for power ensue, the bureaucratic process would slow the government's discussions regarding a beneficial exit from the European Union - wasting valuable time that simply can not be afforded.

Davis was replaced Monday with Dominic Raab, a lawmaker who strongly supports Britain's European Union exit.

It would also be hard for Britain to offer concessions on services, which make up roughly 80% of its economy.

The plan also seeks to keep Britain in major EU agencies, including the European Aviation Safety Agency, the European Medicines Agency and the police agency Europol.

However, she added that she has "allowed Cabinet colleagues considerable latitude to express their individual views" - and if Mr Johnson can not support the plan as agreed, "it is right that you should step down".

The loss of two senior ministers and the anger among Brexit-supporting backbench lawmakers makes May's position as leader increasingly tenuous.

His departure could embolden Brexit-supporting Conservative lawmakers - who have long considered May too prone to compromise with the European Union - to challenge her leadership.

Pro-EU lawmakers, in contrast, think the proposed post-Brexit ties with the bloc are not close enough.
