Donald Trump wants to hire 61 people from overseas to come and work as waiters and cooks at his luxury Mar-a-Lago resort.

The posts appeared Thursday on the Department of Labor website, showing the Florida club is searching for 21 cooks and 40 waiters and waitresses. In the lawsuit filed June 14, she called the Trump Foundation a "little more than a checkbook for payments from Mr. Trump or his businesses to nonprofits, regardless of their objective or legality".

Mar-a-Lago - dubbed the "Winter White House" - was for the 2017-2018 season given permission to hire 70 foreign maids, cooks and servers.

According to the Department of Homeland Security's U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the employer filing for H-2B visas must demonstrate that there are "not enough U.S. workers who are able, willing, qualified, and available" and that the foreign workers "will not adversely affect the wages and working conditions of similarly employed U.S. workers".

Since late 2015, Mar-a-Lago has filed 10 separate requests for multiple temporary work visas for foreign employees.

The club seeks to hire the non-American employees as the Trump administration cracks down on illegal entry into the United States with a so-called "zero-tolerance" immigration policy.

The posting further revealed the commander-in-chief's club plans to pay a minimum of $12.68 an hour to the workers, who will be reportedly employed from October to the end of May.

Chase Scott, an event planner with the Salvation Army, said Trump's decision to give them a $25,000 check after the group held a Christmas event at Mar-a-Lago was not part of an incentive.

In April 2017, Trump signed the "Buy American and Hire American Executive Order", which sought to boost job opportunities for US workers by "rigorously enforcing and administering our immigration laws".

Other Trump businesses have hired foreign workers for temporary jobs. During the season, you can't get people. Many resorts in the Palm Beach area use the program to find seasonal help. Earlier this year, the company asked to hire 14 foreign workers to be cooks and waiters at the Trump golf club in Westchester County, New York.
