  • Xiaomi Mi A2 Smartphone Teased Ahead of Probable July 24 Launch; Expected Price, Features & Specifications

After sending invites for the global launch of a new Xiaomi device, the Chinese smartphone maker has confirmed that it will announce two new Android One smartphones at the event in Spain.

Xiaomi Mi A1 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 625 processor, and the Android Oreo 8.1 update is now rolling out. Now ahead of the launch, the retail box of the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 leaked online which has revealed the key specifications of the phone.

But what sets Mi A2 apart from other smartphones is that it features the stock Android experience: The Android One. "Like most new Xiaomi devices, the Mi 6X has a 5.99" Full HD+ 18:9 display and it runs on a Snapdragon 660 Octa-Core processor with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. This leak confirms that there will be a variant of the Mi Max 3 with a 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset paired along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. While there is no confirmation about the product, all the leaks and rumors point out towards the Mi A2 smartphone.

Unfortunately, the Mi 6X still gets a modest 3,080mAh battery but it does support Quick Charge 3.0 via USB-C.

Coming to the camera department, the device will feature a dual camera setup at the back consisting of a 12MP primary camera with Sony IMX486 sensor, 1.25um pixel size, phase detection autofocus, f/2.2 aperture and a secondary 5MP camera with Samsung S5K5E8 sensor, f/2.2 aperture and 1.12um pixel size.

On the front, we have the huge 6.9-inch IPS display with rather thick bezels - it's a budget phablet after all - but fortunately the notch is missing. And we will also learn whether the rumored Mi Max 3 Pro model is real. Of course, we talked about the enormous 5500mAh battery and as for the memory capacity, it will run on 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage with USB Type-C as its port. The dual camera is expected to be 12 MP + 20 MP and will have a lot of memory options - 3/4/6 GB RAM and 32/64/128 GB storage.
