Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez talks up the managerial ability of Chelsea counterpart Maurizio Sarri ahead of the Premier League clash between the two sides.

However, despite Hazard turning down a new Chelsea deal last year, Los Blancos have so far failed to make good on their interest to leave the 27-year-old's future up in the air.

He has also noticeably declined, which he can be forgiven for considering his age.

"When I arrived in Naples I had the feeling that the team was nearly ready to play my football". The rumours are still being circulated on Twitter, with journalist Mootaz Chehade also noting their interest.

In an interview with L'Equipe, De Laurentiis said he had been left with mixed feelings about Sarri's stint in Naples because of "the pleasure of having played well but also the bitterness of not having won anything" under his guidance. "I've spoken with him twice this week after I spoke to the club, I think Loftus will remain with us, we can speak again about his situation but only in December".

'It is incredible to play football, of course last season was not the best for me inside the pitch, but also I learned a lot outside the pitch as a person, as a man.

Asked if he felt De Laurentiis' criticism is fair, Sarri said with a smile: "I don't know".

"It's not so easy in this period because we play only once a week", he said. Sarri has the Blues playing some lovely football and Newcastle are yet to find their groove this season. It's up to him [whether or not he is happy to stay], I think. Maybe they have a policy where they want to give the youth a chance.

Newcastle fans were frustrated by a lack of ambition in the summer transfer market and a defeat on Sunday would be a cause for concern, leaving Benitez's men with a solitary point from their first three Premier League fixtures. "Then, if I enjoy the game, maybe the supporters enjoy the game".
