In Presidential Tweet, Trump Says Former Aide Was 'A Loser' And 'Vicious'

  • Listen to the conversations Omarosa secretly recorded of John Kelly

Omarosa Manigault-Newman, a former aide to US President Donald Trump, on Sunday said she secretly recorded her firing by John Kelly, the chief of staff, in the high-security White House Situation Room.

"Nobody even told me about it", he said.

Manigault Newman, who was dramatically fired from the West Wing a year ago by chief of staff John Kelly, claims she has a recording of the conversation of Kelly attempting to fire her, as well a recordings of conversations with the president.

He added Manigault may have breached security clearance protocol and broken the law by recording in the Situation Room.

President Donald Trump unleashed on Omarosa Manigault on Monday morning, soon after the former White House staffer appeared on the Today show to decry him as an unhinged racist unfit to serve as president.

On the tape, which Manigault Newman said was recorded in the Situation Room, Kelly can be heard citing "some pretty serious integrity violations" as the reason for her dismissal, and telling Manigault Newman that his decision was not negotiable.

Trump has always been known to tape conversations over the phone and in person in his office at Trump Tower.

"I have heard the tape", she said, adding that three sources she talked to for her book relayed the same story.

Conway also brought up Omarosa's claim that Trump is on tape using the N-word while on the set of The Apprentice. She once touted Trump as a friend to the black community and defended his character at every turn, but that apparently "wasn't paying his bills", Gidley mused.

In the brief excerpt broadcast, the voice said to be the president's tells Ms Manigault Newman he has seen on the news that she is "thinking of leaving" and asks, "What's going on?" "Godda-m it", Mr. Trump said, "I don't love you leaving at all". Kellyanne Conway said on ABC's This Week that "the first time I ever heard Omarosa suggest those bad things about this president are in this book".

The former White House staffer detailed her claim in her forthcoming book, writing that the offer was a way to keep her from speaking out.

"When Gen. Kelly came on board he told me she was a loser & nothing but problems", Trump wrote. She told Todd that she heard a recording of Trump using the n-word. "What happened?" Trump is heard saying in the clip.

But the incident isn't in her book because she didn't hear the tape until after the book was published.

"They continue to deceive this nation by how mentally declined he is", she said, "how hard it is for him to process complex information". They might, however, enjoin Manigault Newman from releasing any recordings made in secured areas.

"Being used by Donald Trump for so long I was like the frog in hot water". And yet, here she has an opportunity to confront Trump in the immediate aftermath of her firing, and Omarosa sounds as if she wants to get Trump to get her job back for her. He could not go into specifics about why she was sacked or how she was able to get a recording device in the room.
