Perseids likely to be the best meteor shower of the year

This year was set to be an incredible display, as the new moon left the sky darker than usual.

The best views of the Perseids in Sweden will be in the south of the country, according to website Populär Astronomi. Meteor showers are a great opportunity for time-lapse videos and long-exposure photography, allowing your shots of the night sky to turn into van Gogh-like paintings of this starry spectacle.
