  • Samsung teases a '4x fun' Galaxy Event in October

Samsung has announced a surprise event for October 11, where the company will announce a new device in its Galaxy range.

The invite doesn't say much, but it says it'll be a "Galaxy event" suggesting we'll see a new device from the company's phone lineup.

We've already seen Samsung Galaxy S9 and more recently Galaxy Note 9 redefine the flagship nature of smartphones, nonetheless the competition remains stringent.

Recent rumors have suggested Samsung is working on a device with four rear-facing cameras.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 released on Friday, August 22, sooner than anyone had expected a year ago.

Talking of Samsung's chief competition, the Note 9 price rivals that of Apple's flagship handset iPhone X. While the phone is priced high in United Kingdom and the USA, in India, the Note 9 undercuts the iPhone X by approximately Rs 20,000 and has double the storage. The event will be livestreamed on the company's official website and its press centre website as well, though the invite does not mention where the event is taking place. Now with Samsung's confirmation for an October event perfectly fits the bill. By doing so, you will get early access to pre-orders and Samsung promises a guaranteed delivery the day it goes on sale. It display has 5.5-inch super AMOLED with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. The internal storage is further expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.

Operating System: Google's latest Android 8.1 Oreo.

Thought the camera module has been taken from the Galaxy S9-series, the also gets intelligent scene recognition that automatically recognises scene and adjusts the settings accordingly. And if Samsung does announce a smartphone with four rear cameras on October 11, then this smartphone will be the first to come with four cameras at the back. There's also an 5MP front shooter with f/2.2 aperture for selfies.
