The Tadawul All-Shares Index (TASI) rose 4.3 percent to close trading on the last day of the week on 7,835.54 points.

Saudi Arabia's public prosecutor said on Thursday that the murder was premeditated.

TASI, the largest Arab bourse, is 8.4 percent higher on the year.

"We are pleased that is the case", Palladino said, reiterating that the United States is continuing to press for "all the relevant facts" in the killing of Khashoggi in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on October 2.

Saudi Arabia is the lynchpin of a US -backed regional bloc against Iran but the crisis has strained Riyadh's relations with the West. Dozens of Western officials, bankers and executives shunned a big investment conference in Riyadh this week. "The criminal investigation continues in Turkey".

CIA Director Gina Haspel has reportedly listened to the audio recording of Washington Post writer Jamal Khashoggi's alleged interrogation, torture and murder, The Post reported.

The kingdom, who oiringally denied all knowledge of Khashoggi's whereabouts, has since admitted he was murdered at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, blaming a "rogue operation".

Khashoggi, a known critic of the Saudi crown prince, was a known critic of the crown prince, disappeared after entering the Saudi consulate earlier this month.

The report provides no further details about the information that led to this conclusion, nor does it say whether the "premeditated" killing happened under orders from the Saudi government.

Saudi Arabia claims that Jamal Khashoggi died in a physical altercation inside its consulate in Istanbul.

A columnist for The Washington Post, Khashoggi was last seen on October 2 when he entered the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul.

Meanwhile, the crown prince has attended the first meeting of a committee aiming to restructure the kingdom's intelligence services after the killing of Mr Khashoggi.

How world leaders treat Riyadh going forward appears to hinge on the extent to which they believe the Saudi version of events and how much responsibility sits with the country's powerful crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman.

It's unclear when the president will make a final determination on the Khashoggi case.

Turkish officials also told the Associated Press that investigators were looking for Khashoggi's remains in a nearby forest and in a city about two hours away from Istanbul.

"The incident was very painful for all Saudis, it's a repulsive incident and no one can justify it", Crown Prince Mohammed said in his first comments since the journalist's murder.

Shortly before Prince Mohammed took the stage at the Future Investment Initiative, he spoke to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan about the killing of Khashoggi.

Saudi Energy Minister Khalid Al-Falih conceded yesterday that the scandal had hurt the kingdom's image.
