Two twin six-year-old brothers, Xzavier and Mason Ingle and their 9-year-old sister Alivia Stahl were struck and killed.

"He didn't lose one kid".

'What do you tell your little brother, how do you tell your little brother it's gonna get better? You can't bring back the kids'.

The family says a fourth sibling was spared.

"[Their father] didn't lose one kid, he lost all of his kids", Elgin Ingle, the kids' uncle, told IN news station WNDU.

Alivia Stahl, 9, and her brothers, Xzavier and Mason Ingle, were killed on Tuesday morning as they crossed the street to board their waiting school bus.

A fourth child, 11-year-old Maverik Lowe - who was not related to the family - was airlifted to a hospital with multiple broken bones and other injuries, according to WNDU.

Police said 24-year-old Alyssa Shepard drove the vehicle that struck four kids.

ISP allege Shepherd didn't come to a stop on S.R. 25 when the bus was stopped, killing three children and leaving another in critical condition.

"When those stop arms are extended, by law, you are required to stop", Slocum told the outlet. This is the exact reason why.

Shepherd reportedly works as the children's director at the Faith Outreach Center in Rochester, Indiana, according to ABC 57 News.

The bus was heading northbound and the truck was heading southbound. It was not immediately clear if the driver was speeding or if drugs or alcohol were involved.

The bus driver has been named as Robert Reid.

The incident happened within the Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation district, which serves both Fulton and Kosciusko Counties.

The three children who died are from the same family.

"Today, at approximately 7:15 a.m., there was a 911 call reporting a crash involving students from the Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation", said Sgt.

Emergency personnel responded to a scene of a collision that killed three children crossing SR 25 as they were boarding their school bus north of Rochester, Ind., Oct. 30, 2018.

Counselors were available to students, teachers, and parents at the children's school.

Gov. Eric Holcomb said in a statement that he and his wife, Janet, were mourning the students' deaths.

Those tears were felt throughout the community.
