Government shutdown: how it will affect tax returns

Americans may find themselves missing an agency they usually love to hate if the government shutdown persists: the Internal Revenue Service.

The Federal government has been shut down for several weeks and, as we enter into tax season, there could be serious repercussions for taxpayers. If the government shutdown continues, it could delay any refund that's due.
