Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) left a few people scratching their heads after she declared herself the "boss" of the Green New Deal, despite criticisms that the deal is unrealistic and extremely expensive. Edward J. Markey (Mass.).

The activist group that arranged the visit used a different word to describe the exchange: "condescending".

Ortiz told the Fox program that he was surprised to see the amount of support he's received from Democrats in NY and California who do not agree with the direction the party is heading. All 47 Senate Democrats as well as 13 Republicans would have to support it for the resolution to pass. "And you can take that back to whoever sent you here". "I was elected by nearly a million-vote plurality, and I know what I'm doing".

Feinstein noted how the plan lacks support from Republicans, who control the Senate.

The so-called Green New Deal may tally between $51 trillion and $93 trillion over 10-years, concludes the center-right policy American Action Forum, which is run by Douglas Holtz-Eakin, who directed the non-partisan CBO from from 2003 to 2005.

The children tell Feinstein that they are the ones who will be impacted by climate change and she says she understands that and she has seven grandchildren.

The freshman House member says that she will pay each person on her own staff at least $52,000, Roll Call reported last week. "So, until you do it, I'm the boss.' How about that?" The girl responded that she's 16 years old.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein disagreed with a group of schoolchildren over climate change Friday and saw a video of the tense exchange hit the Internet, CNN reports. "I know what I'm doing", Feinstein tells the dozen-or-so children and several adults who met with her in San Francisco.

"Well, you didn't vote for me", the senator responded.

"I'm trying to do the best I can", she says. "And I'm just not here to listen to this belief that is not grounded in reality".

Amazon withdrew from the NY deal on February 14 because of opposition from state and local politicians.

Some Democrats have also expressed skepticism of the deal, which calls for 100 percent clean electricity and projects to reduce carbon emissions across the United States.

Sunrise Movement's Bay Area leader Morissa Zuckerman posted the debate on the group's Facebook page.

"This is a fight for our generation's survival". Some agreed with the Sunrise Movement's claim that was short and dismissive of the students.

'I was initially furious and ready to jump all over DiFi based on the edited video, and felt duped when I saw the longer one...'

The senator is heard saying to them, "You know what's interesting about this group?" I know what I'm doing.
