Two famous Hollywood actresses, Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman, were charged in a ma court Tuesday along with more than 50 others for their alleged roles in an elaborate scam involving college admissions.

Parents would allegedly pay the man, who's been identified as William Rick Singer, and he would then send that money to an SAT or ACT administrator or a college athletic coach, who then either arranged faked profiles to list the students as athletes, took the SAT/ACT, or corrected the student's answers.

John Vandemoor, a former Stanford University sailing coach, is also scheduled to plead guilty to racketeering conspiracy charges.

Fifty parents and coaches have already been charged in connection with the plot that involved parents paying bribes of up to $6million to get their children into elite schools between 2011 and 2018, according to an affidavit filed in federal court on Tuesday. Several athletic coaches are suspected of accepting bribes so they would pretend certain applicants were notable student athletes, and other exam proctors and administrators stand accused of granting admission to students who were accepted with false academic credentials.

Singer advised Huffman, who is married to actor William H. Macy, to arrange for her daughter to be granted extra time for her SAT exam by having her certified as having a learning disability.

A Justice Department official in Los Angeles said 13 of those indicted were taken into custody Tuesday morning; according to reports Huffman was among them.

Felicity was one the almost 40 individuals charged in connection with an alleged college entrance exam scheme. A HALF A MILLION DOLLARS just to get them into USC?

Authorities reportedly uncovered the scheme after discovering last May that Singer had been helping parents get their children into their top-choice universities. Huffman allegedly discussed a similar scheme for her younger daughter but ultimately decided against it.

The person told investigators the couple agreed to the plan. Authorities said in many cases the teenagers were not aware of the fraud. Huffman and Loughlin were due to appear in federal court in Los Angeles later on Tuesday, prosecutors said.

Huffman, 56, and Loughlin, the 54-year-old star of "Full House", were among 33 parents accused of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud in joining the scheme.

A representative of Huffman did not immediately respond to HuffPost's request for comment.

Macy has not been charged nor have the colleges, which all released statements saying they knew nothing about the scheme.
