Could R. Kelly's Money Troubles Be Blamed on Illiteracy?

The self-described "Pied Piper of R&B" is now back behind bars for failing to pay more than $161,000 in child support to his ex-wife Andrea Kelly. "This not me", Kelly told "CBS This Morning", saying he was "fighting" for his life in an interview to air Wednesday.
"Lies", he said. He added that his money in the bank, which contained $350,000, was in the process of being transferred to another account at the time he was arrested in February. "I don't really know what a cult is", he said.
As he spoke directly to the audience, he pointed and said: "That's stupid". In charging documents, prosecutors cited statements he made during an interview on ABC's Good Morning America identifying two people in a photo of the surveillance video as his attackers. "How can I get paid?"
When Kelly stood up in a rage, banging his chest and moving his arms about angrily - upset at the allegations against him - King didn't even flinch.
"He's looking to influence a jury with this interview, and even though he looked terrible, remember that judges and juries read papers too". Hate me if you want to.
A lawyer representing Timothy and Jonjelyn Savage also said the couple has never asked for or received money from Kelly.
Reacting to Kelly's interview, another woman, Jerhonda Johnson Pace, tweeted that when she watched it she "saw a man that needs help".
She claims there were several encounters with R. Kelly at his Atlanta home and that the singer gave her herpes when she was 17 years old.
His attorney, Steve Greenberg, has said his client is innocent.
"Whether they're old rumours, new rumours, future rumours, not true", he told CBS'Gayle King.
"If you get someone who is ranting and raving, I would never let that kind of person ever do an interview", he said. - She thinks R. Kelly should be in solitary confinement for his 'hypnotic games'. "This is not me!"
He said: "I didn't do this stuff". "I'm in love with my kids".
R. Kelly was arrested and returned to jail Wednesday. Yesterday (March 6), though, he was detained by police once again, this time over unpaid child support.
R Kelly, 52, was detained after a court hearing in Chicago on Wednesday. "Didn't know what the hell was going on", he said.
Kelly told King he was unable to raise money while his ex-wife Andrea Kelly is "destroying" his name in the press. His next hearing was scheduled for next Wednesday.
What's more, Kelly recently struggled to pay 10 percent of the $1 million bail that was set in Chicago.
Kelly's attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
